Zesty Lime Pie

A simple recipe for a delicious pie that is great for any level of chef!

Ingredients:

Cinnamon Almond Crust

  • 160g of cinnamon flavored biscuits
  • 65g roasted salted almonds (easy to roast yourself in the oven)
  • 2tbsp granulated sugar
  • 70g unsalted, melted butter

Filling

  • 2 (400ml) cans of sweetened condensed milk
  • 180ml fresh lime juice (about 5 limes)
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • garish ideas: lime zest, lime slices, almonds, or whipped cream
  • Instructions:

    1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees C
    2. In a pan, cook ground beef until browned. Add onions and garlic, cook until softened.
    3. Stir in marinara sauce and oregano. Simmer for 10 minutes.
    4. Drain pasta and mix with the sauce.
    5. Serve with Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy!
